Transformers Generation One Battle Gaia (Great Cannon, Leyland, Sandstorm, Shuttle Gunner, Target Hawk)

Yes, I know. I’ve used that quote before, and Primus willing, I will be using it again. “Worthy” is overstating it, but when you’ve acquired one of the Holy Grails on your want list I think you’re entitled to be a little dramatic. Without further ado, behold…
Battle Gaia is one of the most sought Transformers ever made. Released in Japan in 1992, he is the first of many repaints of Bruticus. Min was missing many of his stickers, but as luck would have it, I found reproduction stickers and Zabgoth expertly applied them for me. However, I took the pics of the individual vehicle and robot modes before he applied the stickers.
Great Cannon
Great Cannon, repainted from Onslaught, is mostly blue and gray with some black.
Leyland
Leyland looks an awful lot like G2 Swindle, though Swindle is more orange and Leyland is redder. He also lacks the purple camo pattern.
Sand Storm
No, Sand Storm is not turning yellow. He is actually supposed to be off white. Repainted from Brawl, I kind of don’t love the color scheme. I mean, a white tank would probably have silver camo on it.
Shuttle Gunner
Shuttle Gunner also resembles his G2 counterpart, but lacks Blastoff’s purple camo.
Target Hawk
Target Hawk looks great in green, which is a more accurate look for a helicopter of this type that Vortex’s gray.
Battle Gaia
First thing to note is that his gun is the wrong color. It’s a reproduction. It’s supposed to be gray. At some point Zabgoth is going to paint it for me. There are two photos of him with his guns, the first was taken before the repro stickers (as was the one with the gun) the second he has his new stickers. He is an absolutely beautiful toy. I love his colors. Here are a few more pics of the team.
