Transformers Go-Bots Racers Fast-Bot, Mototron, and Speed-Bot

“Only the worthy find the grail.” – Robert Langdon, The Da Vinci Code

Yes, I know. I’ve used that quote before, and Primus willing, I will be using it again. “Worthy” is overstating it, but when you’ve acquired one of the Holy Grails on your want list I think you’re entitled to be a little dramatic. It took me nearly twenty years to find these. In 2004 the last three Go-Bots toys were produced, but not released. In 2005 they found their way to Woolworth’s stores in the UK. I’ve been looking for them ever since. They were from the Racers series (Deluxe if you prefer). Two are repainted existing molds, the other is other was not available anywhere else. Without further ado, behold…

Fast-Bot

Fast-Bot is a formula one racecar. Primarily in yellow and gray with red paint apps, he does not actually have hands at least not that are recognizable as such. He also doesn’t really have a head, just a molded face.

Mototron

Mototron looks great in black and green. I love his racecar mode. His face sculpt has giant eyes like a lot of the Go-Bots.

Speed-Bot

This was the tenth Speed-Bot toy. He was the featured character of the Go-Bots line. This is the only released of this mold. That’s too bad as I really love his car mode. In robot mode he seems to be a comehead. Who knows why?

Overall: Let’s be honest, none of these are great toys. But I searched for them for a long time, and am really happy to call my Go-Bots collection complete.

Thanks for reading!
