Generation Toy Rebuilder (Third Party Transformers G1 Constructions Devastator, Bonecrusher, Hook, Long Haul, Mixmaster, Scavenger, Scrapper)
Bonecrusher
Bonecrusher looks amazing in vehicle mode. Devastator’s forearm becomes a generator trailer, an excellent design decision. He’s got lots of molded details. They really went for as real world accurate a vehicle mode as they could. In robot mode he has quite a lot of kibble hanging off his arms and shoulders, but he looks great otherwise. His trailer becomes a backpack.
Hook
Hook’s vehicle mode is great. In robot mode his boom arm is removable and can be used as a weapon. It also can bend out over his shoulder, though I don’t know how practical that is in robot mode. He has missile pods on his shoulders.
Long Haul
My only complaint about Long Haul’s vehicle mode is that his dump bucket is full of his parts. He otherwise looks great. In robot mode he is a big boy. The instructions show him with his roof down over his head, which looks silly, but it can be tipped back.
Mixmaster
Mixmaster’s robot mode was really well designed. You can pull his missile pod up over his head to give him a more G1 look, or push it back so you can see his head. His vehicles mode looks great.
Scavenger
Scavenger has a generator trailer like Bonecrusher for Devastator’s forearm. He really looks great. His shovel arm has telescoping hydraulic tubes which is a really nice touch. In robot mode his trailer can become a backpack, but unfortunately, his shovel arm can’t fold down behind it so it sticks up behind him. He could have used a little design work there so it could still fold down.
Scrapper
Scrapper looks great in both modes. Not much else to say that I haven’t already said. He’s just as great as his teammates.
Devastator
Devastator looks great. He has missiles hidden in the back of his hands and a giant gun. Unfortunately, mine was missing the regular face, so all I have his angry one. I bought it from an allegedly reputable seller I don’t buy from anymore. Still, he’s a fantastic toy.
Golden Megatron
The set also came with Megasorry, a golden (it looks orange to me) Megatron built from a kit. He’s a very cool addition to the set, but I would have preferred he be in regular Megatron colors.
Overall: This is a great set, just beware of unscrupulous sellers. In addition to the missing Devastator face Hook’s arm is broken off, and Bonecrusher had two left hips. Seems pretty clear the seller used this one for replacement parts and then sold it as new. Fucking prick.
