Toy Reviews: Transformers Rescue Rescan Series Optimus Prime, and Bumblebee (Dinobots)

I am a little worried that Rescue Bots is falling into the same pattern as other Transformers lines.  Wave one of the Rescan Series was Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and Heatwave.  Wave 2 is another Optimus Prime and Bumblebee, this time as Dinobots.  They really could have done a couple of other characters between these waves.

Optimus Prime

Optimus Prime is essentially the same design as the larger Electronic Optimus Primal, only a bit simplified.  Looks cool, but I’m a bit annoyed that they didn’t call him Optimus Primal.  Wouldn’t that have made more sense?  I mean, it made no sense to call the larger toy that, but it would make sense to stay consistently stupid.

Bumblebee

Bumblebee’s dinosaur mode looks okay, but his robot mode is awful.  He has no real feet to speak of, basically standing on the open dinosaur jaws with the lower jaw halves as his heels.  He doesn’t stand well at all.

Overall: Not terrible, but I want more toys of the other characters!
