Transformers Masterpiece Clampdown
Please read my reviews of the previous versions of this toy, Masterpiece Sideswipe, Masterpiece Red Alert, Masterpiece Tigertrack, and Masterpiece G2 Sideswipe.
Did we really need a fifth version of this mold? I think we can pretty much bet on getting Deep Cover as the sixth version. He looks pretty good. He’s got nice paint apps. I’m not sure why the shield on his hood is not repeated on his sides. Instead we get a shield with a star in it. I like the Autobot logo in the shield better. Also, as noted in the photo above, the light bar was put on backwards on mine. Since it was not glued in (how could it not be glued in!) it was easy to pop out and put back on correctly, but I’m not sure if this was a random mistake or if they are all like that. You can clearly see from the photo on the box that was it was intended to sit farther back on his roof. For completists only.
