Vehicle Mode: Drift is a heavy remold of Age of Extinction Drift, but in vehicle mode you’d never know he wasn’t an all new toy. (Read my review of AOE Drift here.) He has been turned into an entirely different car. He is now a 2017 Mercedes-AMG GT R, which I like a lot more than the 2013 Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse mode he had in AOE. He is so heavily remolded, that his feet form the front of the car, where the AOE version had his head at the front of the car. The car looks great in black. I love the red hubcaps. I kind of wish they had given him red tinted windows. I think that would have looked even better.

Robot Mode: In robot you can see how much of his original robot mode has been unchanged. The only real difference is the front of the car that became his chest has been removed and what was beneath remolded to become his chest. I like him in red and black much better than blue, though I wish they would have kept the gold weapons.

Overall: Drift is one of the better deluxe toys released so far. Unfortunately that isn’t the highest of bars.
