Nemesis Hot Rod
There are no mold changes on Nemesis Hot Rod. It is unfortunate that they didn’t give him a new head more similar to Rodimus Unicronus’s new head. He doesn’t look bad. I like that they didn’t just give him purple flames, but actually came up with new art for his chest. It actually looks better than Hot Rod. They didn’t outline Hot Rod’s flames, but they did outline the design on Rodimus Unicronus’s chest. Much better with the outline.
Rodimus Unicronus
I like the colors scheme and the paint apps. They gave him different poorly applied stickers than Rodimus Prime’s poorly applied stickers. Good that they changed them, but were consistently incompetent placing them. We wouldn’t want to improve quality. (That was sarcasm, obviously.) I kind of like the new head sculpt. I think he would have looked better with a purple gun though. Also, the box shows him with gray hands. I think that would have looked better also.
Overall: It’s not a worse toy than Rodimus Prime, and it has a cool paint job, but if you have Rodimus, you can probably skip with one. For completists only.
