I have been pretty indifferent to these plus versions of Masterpiece toys. With the exception of Shockwave, whose plus was actually the toy version, and a huge improvement, and Streak, they have felt very unnecessary. Masterpiece Anime Smokescreen is pretty much the same. The new paint job omits the silver paint for the more animation accurate gray, but the silver looks much better. He has new anime accurate faces, but I prefer the toy faces. When I saw pictures of the smoke effect he comes with, I thought that might be cool, but it does not attach to him. You just position it beside (in halves) or behind him. I would find it more interesting if it could attach. Also, it looks silly when you split it in half to go on each side. That would have been a cool accessory if there were two of them and they could be attached to him. Unfortunately, not. If you have the original, this is probably an easy skip.
