Transformers: Age of Extinction Walmart Exclusive 2-Pack Legend Bumblebee and Scout Strafe
It seems to have taken forever, but AOE Walmart exclusives have actually shown up in stores. There are three different Bumblebee and Stinger Legends (1-Pack, 2-Pack, and 3-Pack) and two Optimus Primes (1-Pack and 2-Pack). These are labeled in the toy comparison photos below.
Bumblebee
The 2-Pack Bumblebee is the best of the three versions as he has the back windows painted. I’m not a huge fan of the white face though. It shares a mold with the 1-Pack version, which was originally the first RotF Legends Bumblebee.
Strafe
Talk about a blast from the past! The original Beast Wars Terrorsaur mold is still cool after all these years. It’s hard to believe that we are coming up of the 20th anniversary of Beast Wars. It’s nice to know those molds are still around, and I’d really like to see more of them. My only complaint is that the black and blue are both dark colors. If they had gone a shade lighter on the blue, or to a dark gray on the black I think it would look better. Still very cool to get this mold in any colors.
Overall: As this set contains the best of the Legend Bumblebees and an original Beast Wars mold, it’s very cool. Price wise, originally scout class toys were $5, but with the price changes over the years, $15 is probably reasonable, unlike the inflated prices of the Kmart exclusives.
